I doubt it was 5 million, but even at 5 million in over 2000 locations, that's an average of 2500 per location, which I know isn't a reflection of what actually happened, but 250,000 in 1 place alone is bigger than the estimated 200,000 in LA, with a population of 18 million people, 5 times bigger than the NYC rally, and given that LA was most definitely the largest rally for no kings, it's laughable to think that 1 million people showed up in Boston, so God knows how they came up with that bullshit number.
I have little doubt that the Trump Administration overstated the turnout, but who the fuck cares? Both rallies were dumb as fuck. No one gave one fuck when Obama, who built the cages, deporting more people than Trump did. No one gave one fuck when Biden deported more people than Trump, even though he let in 15 million illegals. Trump was elected to deport people and has done a shitty job compared to Obama or Biden, so why protest at all? Clearly a stunt protest.
It's clear that organizers came up with these organized events when the administration decided it was going to go to war with Iran. The left did a no kings rally to occupy the left's attention with deportations and the right organized a military rally to distract the right wing with muh patriotisms.
Neither protest amounted to anything. People don't give a fuck about deportations and they don't give a fuck about the Army's 250th anniversary. They will both be forgotten about by next week.
