Post 9/11 was a nightmare security wise. I stopped carrying stuff I normally wouldn't have a problem with carrying. Last time i flew I don't remember it being too bad. Then again me and a good coworker/friend of mine were going on all expense paid trip to Vegas, which I hated, but he and I talked the whole way and I wasn't quite as aware as I am now.
From what I understand it's like the cruises. You get what you pay for. Wanna avoid the groid? You're gonna need to pay up. Also where you're going to I think factors into it quite a bit. Miami? Expect it. Montana? Should be chill.
