Those are fashion watches. Even if you get a quartz like those, you're better off getting a Seiko, Citizen or Bulova because they actually make their watches and don't farm out the work. They also have more of a heritage.
Today, I'm wearing my Bulova Marine Star from 1999. I bought it back then for about $400. The newer Marine Stars are not as charming. This is the one I bought for myself and then later gave to my father because he was fond of Bulovas and the color blue. Bulova is a heritage NY watch brand. Unfortunately, it was sold to Citizen and they have declined in quality over the past 50 years.
