The "End of 10" website is a cooperative effort to let people know that they have other options besides buying a new computer. The site seems to be Europe -oriented, but you can check it out. We need a similar site for Americans.
I love the linux filesystem (voidlinux btw). Everything is a file. Insert usb drive? Thats a file. Plug in webcam? Thats a file. Its all in organized directories. No homosexual registry editor required to access deeply hidden config settings that some Pajeet heaped into a mound of shit. All the config locations are standardized, human-readable with inline comments explaining what everything does, and easily editable with any text editor of your choice.
I love the console too, it gives you a lot of power. Surely there are distros where you need it less, but I like voidlinux as a good balance.
Now with free AI like grok and deepseek, almost anyone could install linux and overcome any niggle with ease. Even after using linux for a decade, AI still showed me so many useful things about linux.
