Read this book about the world's worst disasters and under 'weather-related', it was a heat wave in Boston in 1910 (or so) that was responsible for killing the most people.
The collapse of a molasses storage tower in the same city around the same time only killed a few, but it was hilarious reading about how the sticky mess spread throughout the entire city in the coming days.
