You might be thinking of nation states bringing down other nation states but unless they get us all by some sudden strike whites will probably get a chance at good old hand to hand combat at some point.

There is no need to politicize or propagandize or proselytize. You dont even have to wait for catastrophe or war to hit. If someone burns downs enough power stations and blows up enough damns people will go hungry and start fighting. And unless some fundamental paradigm shift changes the equation (which is a real possiblity considering autonomous drones and killer nano tech might be just around the corner) it's basic insurgency 101. If Afghans can prevail so can Euros.
