This is what a really wealthy man who isn't trying to impress anyone and is trying to keep their wealth status on the downlow looks like ( Brad Pitt from "the big short")

If you see a man in a very sharp suit unless they are very public figure who is trying to maintain a very public image like Trump then it's an indication that that person is still working for their money and must impress other people to continue their income stream.

Incidentally shaving and maintaining a very neat appearance has always also been a typical indicator of someone who still must work to keep their income stream going and must impress other people.

The only exception really is gay men who when they are wealthy really enjoy the womanly pleasure of having hairdressers and others diddle over them.

I find this comment interesting because once I no longer had to impress anyone, I stopped shaving, maybe shaved once a month. Now, after a few revelations, I prefer to continue the tradition of daily shaving. People are nicer to me and I just look better. When I act professional it is well received instead of gawked at(when not shaven). I also look about 10 years younger than I am without the salt and pepper all over my face. I dont have to impress anyone to stay alive anymore, but that's not the point anymore for me.

I don't like being seen as a potentially dirty old fucker.
I much prefer the whole "look at that young man go!" vibe.
Staying "office fresh" is a better look for me overall and I've learned to enjoy aesthetics more than in my youth.
Neat/Sharp appearance, for me, was learned behavior.

I still think that watch and cologne obsession is weird though. seems very feminine.
