If you can bypass the law coming in, why can't you bypass the law going out? I'm trying to understand beyond a political stance.
Is there some amendment I'm unaware of that allows anybody to enter the country illegally and gives them the same rights as citizens? What other countries allow citizen rights for illegal entry?
This all goes back to the occupation changes to the Constitution: the 14th Amendment. Specifically the power it gave federal courts over the occupied southern states via the due process clause. What process is "due"? Whatever the federal judiciary decides is due!
