...fuck, on our football team there was a half dozen big guys, one nickname "thunder thighs", fuck this guy had huge thighs, he was NHL material but he had an attitude, 5.40min mile, he positioned at Defensive End and Full Back, in hockey he was Left Forward and special teams, the guy was unbeatable on skates, he'd do circles around Gretzky but 99 was a magician with the puck, Paul Coffey could keep up, Coffey was one of the best skaters in the NHL...I was in top shape and even had a "walk in" position with law enforcement, but after my big motorcycle accident everything changed...after 2 years I was back on the ice with half my left femur gone, everyone on the ice is NHL or former, I had lost probably a 3rd of my capabilities, I had strength but couldn't coordinate the air volume with my legs, the odd time it would kick in but there was no way that I was ever going to be what I was, those guys were impressive on the ice and I could only outmaneuver for so long until I had 2 guys on me, fuck they were fast and tough. Anyways, THUNDER THIGHS is actually living in Frt Lauderdale...and that's that.
