What things do you consider your biggest money wasters?

I'm talking things you don't need to spend money on but do it anyway because you can't control your impulses, not things you're obligated to pay (insurance, taxes, fuel/travel costs) but can't avoid.

I usually have no money. Have had about 10 bucks since October. Currently have $1 and am short money for a new charger cord for my phone. I probably need about 50 cents. But I'm ok for the moment.

"The money which a man possesses is the instrument of freedom; that which we eagerly pursue is the instrument of slavery. Therefore I hold fast to that which I have, and desire nothing." - Jean-Jacques Rousseau, The Confessions

Unsurprisingly, Rousseau was from a French Calvinist background. A son of Geneva.

When I was working and had money I was extremely thrifty even then. My biggest waste was probably buying consumer goods which was just illustrative of my being more integrated into the bullshit lifestyle than I am now. Before my extended time in county I was regularly buying sugar donuts at Dunkin several times a week.
