There are only 10 generations from Noah to Abraham, and in theory that meant pretty much everyone may have known of everyone else, although at some point in the 400 years the distances and travels could have some relatives not really knowing each other.
And still they went to war against each other too. I can imagine scheming and trickery happening all the time.
