Long story short, I moved into a 1br apt In a 16 unit building on June 1st of 2024, and have been having problems with neighbors on both sides of me plus upstairs neighbors causing noise with their relentless walking, Slamming & dropping items on the floor. I've addressed my complaints to the property mgmt company several times and they haven't done much, other than telling the tenants to chill out.
I have a condition called Misophonia which is hatred of certain sounds - I've addressed this multiple times during my complaints to MGMT with no help, so I'm having serious mental health outburst before 10pm. (quiet time) which have resulted in the police being called on me almost every other month.
I've been cordial and explained to the police that I'm an Iraq veteran with Complex PTSD & certain loud sounds & banging trigger my symptoms. The police have been very polite to me & understand my condition, yet I'm still hearing loud noises from the upstairs unit & both sides of my unit due to children running, stomping & being generally loud, sometimes up to 2am. I finally lost my shit & had a breakdown on New Years Day, approximately around 8pm. I put a massive hole in my living room wall & the police came - I talked to them for over an hour, they had a mental health crisis team come out to evaluate me & said I was OK. I wasn't drunk, but sick of hearing my neighbors.
Today (Jan 2nd) I got an email from the property manager of the management company stating that they want me to move out by January 18th or they will start the eviction process. I live in Wisconsin & there are certain laws about moving during the winter months (Dec-March) & technically the MGMT company wants to breach their own lease by saying I'm a nuisance & wanting me to move out in the winter. I've already emailed them about this. I also feel like this is a racial issue due to me being a White male in an apartment building that's predominantly black & hispanic, as those who wanted the police defunded back in 2020 are now excessively calling the police/emergency services to report about me yelling & screaming in my apartment due to the loud noises THEY are committing. I'm at my wits end yet CANNOT HAVE AN EVICTION ON MY RECORD because no landlord or property MGMT company will rent to me with a fresh eviction.
I can provide info about my lease, but I'm reaching out to you Goats before I need to contact an (((attorney))).
This is the email I sent them:
My lease states that there are to be no move outs between the months of December to March. 2 weeks is also insufficient amount of time for anyone to find a new place to live, especially in Winter.
I just mailed out my January rent payment on December, 31st. If you want me to vacate, you will be breaking the lease and it will be a breach of contract, therefore I will have no choice but to take legal action.
I am a mentally ill war veteran and have been subjected to harassment by not only the tenants in this building (MY ADDRESS) but also by R. (the Maintenance Man) as well as you (property manager) and B. MGMT.
I highly suggest you and B. MGMT reconsider your decisions.

Between my dad, my grandparents, and the year i was born, i ended up dual national by default by british law without even knowing about it. So cant really blame me for that stuff.
