ELP HAD A GRAVITATIONAL INTEREST PROPRIETARY TO THEM THAT I DIDN'T FIND IN MOST ANY OTHER BANDS...

...notwithstanding the talented "dozen or so" rock solid bands on my list of "Top 10"...they're great bands but they lack what ELP has, Greg lake.

Lake wrote and composed his first tune at age 12, Lucky Man, deep content for a 12year old. Lake has the persona of a person between the likes of Christopher Hitchens and Leo Tolstoy. "FATHER CHRISTMAS" was never intended to be a Christmas song, it was about the rapid changing of human behavior and the drifting away from the natural aspects of life, "wants are not needs"...and Lake hated the consumerism and commercialism attached to Christmas.

Anyways, here's Greg Lake on Mount Qumran at the very site of the phony fabrication of holy scriptures known as the "Dead Sea Scrolls". A couple months previous to the making of this video, Elizabeth Taylor was bitten by a camel on the film set, the camels in this vid are the same prop beasts as Taylor's and when Lake was filmed sitting in front of the camel with a few Bedouin around him, the one camel behind him kept spitting at him and was reaching out at him to bite.

...but in the end the greatest gift a kid could have is his father returning from the "bullshit and bombs", as depicted in this vid
