Trump gave Israel the Golan Heights and got a suburb in it named after him. Having US troops there is counteractive to Israel's plans because it creates stability in the region. They want the rebels to destroy the country so they can then move in to take a piece.. hence why we haven't heard much about Syria since Biden was inaugurated.
