For new construction. The switch would have a safety to prevent accidents. Perhaps a twist and push mechanism with an additional lockout.

It would also be pre wired either by a cat cable or some sort of analogue cable that connects to a central controller so it could be controlled with something like home-assistant.

I think that would be cool and if I was writing code I would write that unless through having such a position I would attain knowledge as to why that would be a bad idea.
