Texas and Alaska will become important when israel falls, because without the u.s. and british foothold into the middle east, the eurodollar and dollar reserve status cannot be maintained. We'd have to back our dollar with exports, and with the dollar no longer the global reserve, in order for texas and alaska to pay for all the former subsidaries it would otherwise no longer be recieving, texas and alaska would have to resort to ramping up exports significantly.
If they'd go their own way or unite with Utah is anyone's guess.
