This is crazy. I see young people on 4chan are dating on internet, without IRL interaction. They just send nudes and masturbate, and say they have a relationship. How the fuck it is possible? Are they mentally impaired, or is the whole new generation crazy?
They're not in a position to buy plane tickets and pay for hotel stays, or make cross country drives, so they spend time together talking and sharing hobbies, eventually meeting in person at some point in the future if things last long enough.
Do you guys not remember the 90s and 00s? Fuckloads of people met online and had internet relationships when the net was new, and eventually even got married and had kids. This is no longer a new phenomenon.
