"Automation" and the unwillingness to learn

"Automation" is not some creepy and mysterious force which takes jobs and creates things out of thin air.

Automation is simply program logic designed to ensure smooth running of the process without the need for constant human intervention or operation.

These dock workers crying about "Automation" have zero sympathy from me. They could very easily be increasing their skillset to that of a millwright, electrician, or Automation technician and still have a job. There will be a reduced workforce yes but there will still be a need for a significant number of employees to maintain and repair the equipment as well as a limited number of operators.

This doxkworker example is the attitude that is pervasive in society today. People want to find their little comfortable gravy train and then refuse to invest in themselves beyond that point while demanding they get taken care of. Government workers are the prime example of this - we have overeducated cucks who's knowledge is outdated by the time they graduate collecting 65k a year for literally just sitting there. Absolutely no ambition to do anything better or continue their career path.

Lots of fucks just coast along and try to get by. That's fine, society needs unambitious people to fill boring jobs. But don't be surprised when new waves in the industry skull fuck you into oblivion. I started out in the automotive trades myself and then transitioned into heavy duty mining repair which led into owning my own business. After my customers complained about a lack of skilled Automation technicians to work on their process equipment, I have cross trained to fulfill that need for them and am possibly looking to hire a programmer if this niche expands.

Keep collecting that dockworker or Government check though. You'll be left behind quickly
