Being a part of a lot of these different professions is like being a part of a different world, often a world that hates other worlds you may equally be a part of. It can be kind of soul burden to be a part of multiple at once, especially once you start becoming a part of a lot at once.
Nah, I find it to be silly inter-discipline rivalry. Most of the guys will still sit at the same table drinking while having fun with it. Of course it helps to have someone on the inside with both groups.
and do not learn anything else themselves.
That's the problem I run into a lot. I'd like for more people to be more intelligent and have more time to explore different hobbies/skills, but that's not reality.
I also get "you're a genius" and then have to explain that I learned that trick from a stone mason or whatever.
