Weird, I thought this stuff was fairly well known. Back in school in physics class it was explained to us that the speed of light is the fastest anything in the universe can go (or be observed to be going) because going faster would make it so you travel back in time.
Basically, when you travel at the speed of light your travel time is always zero. If you'd go faster than the speed of light your travel time would be a negative number and thus bring you back in time.
It seems fairly obvious that light is actually faster than the speed of light and thus always time traveling which is only meaningless since this cannot be observed.
