I know people have said crazier shit on here and I have no evidence to back this up other than what I feel
She was delicate and more of an innocent, not prepared for the evil shit in Hollywood but the peak of her career was during the big orgy/druggie phase and she partied with some of the A listers so she saw a bunch of shit she wasn't prepared for.
Then Kubrik broke the last of her remaining psyche in the Shining. After that she tried and failed to keep it together for the rest of her life.
I remember the kids show she did when I was a kid and I thought she was a sweet lady. I genuinely feel bad.
