Way to be as myopic as possible, asshole. There is an entire global population that calls themselves christians that are not, in any foundational way adherents of the faith that existed for millennia. There are entire denominations, which by public policy appears to be virtually all of them, that view the scripture as a malleable series of teachings that must evolve to retain their modern marketability. You sit here, casting a perfectly blind eye to the corruption that is the christian church and you accuse me of sloth for simply identifying it? That is a profoundly dishonest take. It's great that your church boasts a membership that comprises roughly 10% of the global christian population. Assuming every single one of it's adherents is pious and righteous in their faith, that leaves 90% of the population free to fall in to the larger claim, utterly untouched by your indignation. In general, finding a christian who follows that book and it's teachings while submitting to an objective, coherent, and unchanging ecclesiastical authority is so rare in the United States is it practically unheard of. So, feign pretension all you like, my point stands.
