The extreme leftie Government of Australia is half-assing the Israel support. It is rather funny to see the Albanese govt, especially Albo himself, skirting the issue when their natural inclination is to support anything even remotely Left.
The traditional hard Left (eg George Galloway) have always been virulently anti-Israel. I suspect a lot of the blue hair/LGBTQI+ types now supporting Palestine are doing so simply because it is the The Current Thing, but nevertheless it is hilarious to see Zionists going full on spazz at losing their taken-for-granted libshit support base.
