After the obligatory address questions, they went right into two pages of voter registration crap. Four years ago I changed from Republican to independent to stop the junk mail and remove myself from the target list. This license renewal was my opportunity to de-list my address from any voter registration mailings and to officially “unregister” for any future voting. I’m feeling much better now.
Voting! {{{{{{spitting}}}}}} Was originally registered Democrat, reregistered Communist, that came as Independent; then Democrat on it's own, the next year. So, re-registered Republican. Changed on its own to Democrat, next time around; so i reregistered National Socialist, which came as Independent. Then went back to Democrat on it's own, again. Democrat Party used to call to ask my opinion on this & that. Lectured them, sternly, on having abandoned certain principles intrinsic to the Democrat Party. They ceased calling, but made it practically impossible for a legal citizen to register to vote without buying a printer, etcetera. They haven't counted a single legally cast ballot in twenty years, anyway. Fuckin' California. You can check out any time you like. But you can never leave.
