Compare the original "Fantasy General", to its 3D successor, and it's easy to see why all of the time and money that went into “improving” the original was not only wasted, but actually a step backwards.

I'll take deep complex superior gameplay over flashy graphics every time.

That's why most of the games that feature a focus on complex gameplay are now in the independent space.
Most of the games I currently play, music I listen to, and movies I watch, are ten years or older.


Convergence requires idealized caricatures, not strong characters.
"Mary Sue" cannot be less than a strong, independent, and perfect in every way (and a nigger. And a lesbian. At least lesbian curious.)
"The Magic Negro" cannot be permitted to be less than kind, wise, saintly, generous and beneficient. (IOW, all the things that real niggers are not.)
"Saint Gay" can never be less than charming, tolerant, stylish, and perfectly committed to the gay love of his life. (again, nothing like the mentally damaged, emotionally flighty, suicidal butterflies they are in r/l.)

And all of them staunch supporters of the entire liberal agenda. If they could, they'd all vote for Biden. But only because Hillary and Obama aren't running.

In media, movies and tv, the plot is always predictable, because every episode pushes an obviously forced woke 'moral' at you.

This is why you are starting to see a return to the classic pulp aesthetic, the new space opera revolution, and the return of John W. Campbell style hard science fiction, but only through smaller and more agile independent publishers and self-publication.
This foretells the doom of the gatekeepers who have betrayed our trust.

All we ever wanted was good stories. What we got was two decades of agonizingly stupid, absurd, dull, leftist dreck walking around wearing science fiction and fantasy as a skin suit.
