GPD, a long-time AMD partner known for their clamshell design handheld consoles, has introduced the Win Max 2. Their product lineup predominantly features AMD hardware due to its graphics performance compared to Intel chips. However, the Win Max 2 is encountering delays, and GPD is attributing this setback to AMD.
In an update posted on their crowdfunding page, GPD has shed light on the shipment delays for the Win Max 2, which stem from an insufficient supply of AMD chips. These processors were intended to be delivered in batches, but it appears that the second batch of Ryzen 7 7840U APUs did not arrive as scheduled. The company has even gone so far as to accuse AMD of breaching their contract by failing to deliver chips on time to their upstream supplier, which has seemingly led to the production delays for the console.

Hey I used to have one of those gpd pockets. Then I bricked it trying to remove intel management engine. Wouldn't buy one again. Too little to do anything on.
