I was in the Capital of Australia for the day and had nothing to do so I thought I'd visit the French Embassy and look at the condolence cards - feel part of history sorta thing. Hopped on my bike and for some daft reason didn't wear my helmet, just a cap, and I carried a backpack. Undoubtedly, with my big nose and dark features, I looked like a person of middle eastern appearance. I couldn't find the f..king French Embassy and instead ended up near the Israeli Embassy where there were armed Police. I kept as far away as I could but stupidly kept riding up and down the street next to to it looking for the French Embassy. I realised my behaviour would seem suspicious. Eventually the cops had enough and bailed me up, submachine guns at the ready. Folk in white garb came running out of the Israeli Embassy. Stammered: "I'm looking for the French Embassy to look at the cards". Cops gave me an exasperated look and pointed out where it was and essentially told me to f..k off.
