I've experienced +100° temps in the Canadian Prairies, American West and Midwest, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. I've baked in the "brown forests" of Costa Rica and blistered from the Caribbean sun but nothing beats up the body like high humid heat in the Great Lakes regions, Toronto probably being the worst.
But fuck me sideways, the last few days has been excruciatingly taxing on the body, even my bears are down for the count and don't want to eat. My big guy Brutus loves the concrete walkway underneath the garage overhang out of the heat and the wife has a large pail next to him filled with cool well water ...he's fucking spoiled and he knows it...I just hate when he flops his fat ass in front of the door and won't move until he's ready.
One of our other bears, Lashes, lost all 3 of her cubs to coyotes over the last 2 months and it's affecting her and the wife is bummed out so it's time to start culling them down again, they ain't shy and they're testy and my .17HMR is ready.
@Rowdybme...she was too young to have cubs in the first place but when a half dozen coyotes harass a bear with cubs that are only a bit bigger than a football they get separated and there's always one coyote watching for that right opportunity...even a mature bear can't defend her cubs from a pack of these pests.

@Rowdybme...she was too young to have cubs in the first place but when a half dozen coyotes harass a bear with cubs that are only a bit bigger than a football they get separated and there's always one coyote watching for that right opportunity...even a mature bear can't defend her cubs from a pack of these pests.
