The tale of the idiot boomer: why making deals with poor boomers is a terrible idea

The asset in question was so cheap it didn't matter much to me, but the negotiations were hilarious. So i had bought a vehicle from a boomer at some really low cost. I was told the car was: functional, could start, and needed very little maintenance. Upon getting the vehicle: the car did not start, was not functional, and needed over 5,000 in maintenance just to be drivable.

At the absurdly cheap price I paid, it's easier to write off as a bad buy and move on with my life. However, the boomer was being funny during it all. He wanted me to profit split the car when sold ... with him. He didn't buy the car, in any way, didn't put any money into fixing it. But he still wanted to profit off the sale. Just seems like the height of selfishness to have to pay someone a broker fee on a car they never purchased or maintained.

Yeah, the guy is too sleazy to do business with anyways. Luckily it was only a cheap car and not something more expensive.
