Apparently Buzzfeed has been having some issues with the (I hesitate to use this word) talent leaving. They had a few people they turned into minor internet stars who learned they could make a lot more doing the exact same thing on their own so they all took off and did just that. They had a major (another hesitation) brain drain there.
Buzzfeed is a lot like Vice- preaching the gospel of rebellion and paying everyone fairly but acting just like coal barons that paid company script. In Vice's case they paid their writers by putting them on the invite list to coke parties. For the people, man
