The contamination of mRNA vaccines with DNA is much higher than originally thought, at up to 35%, and the long-term role of DNA in prompting human cells to produce the spike protein has been confirmed, according to the latest research .
Earlier this month, the Daily Skeptic reported on Dr. Kevin McKernan and his team who subjected Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines to an in-depth sequence analysis found alarming amounts of DNA contaminants known as plasmids. These are small circular DNA molecules that can basically replicate themselves in bacterial and human cells and prompt the cell to produce the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein for a long time. Each vaccine dose was found to contain billions of these plasmids, Will Jones reports .

The Moderna vaccine was found to contain DNA contamination at about the "safe" level set by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) at the equivalent of one part per 3,000 mRNA molecules, although it's not clear how safe this level really is. The Pfizer vaccine, on the other hand, was found to contain a DNA contamination 10 times the "safe" level, which is one plasmid per 350 mRNA molecules.
