"The Grey Feathered Miner called "Australia's Most Hated Bird" is a native honeyeater, famed for its aggression toward other species and its ability to take over whole areas." Voat Link.
This is the first piece of bad press directed at Rainbow Lorikeets I have run into, I have never seen them exhibit aggression unlike some Blue Rosellas that lived around here - I haven't seen them for a while - that were highly aggressive toward the Spotted Turtledoves, which similarly haven't been seen in yrs, yesterday when I was looking upwards to get shots of the same Miner birds above I spotted a King Parrot up in one of the trees, there's been a few Sulphur Breasted Cockatoos and maybe a few Corellas lately also .. cheers.
