Update: The "plowed" part top right appears to have been caused by the Rover tracking back and forth over the same patch of ground, so we ask ourselves "why would it do that," so maybe geophysical instruments aboard orbiting spacecraft identified that place as a likely source of metalliferous ore, that the Rover has instruments that map the size etc of the supposed deposit.
