I'd say it is more the atmosphere, natural beauty. The sky as it merges with the ocean. The sunsets. Then the skyline and view of the center of the city from a distance.
I actually hiked the place last summer. I was fully expecting to have to step around shit. But not once was I faced with that. The homeless presence looked decidedly underwhelming.
