One of the last good looking bands that happened before grunge hit. Then grunge hit and all the good looking people are taking off the MTV and other places and it was only sad sacks like Nirvana that wanted to kill themselves that were featured on mtv. Belinda Carlisle made a comment about it later. Something like it used to be that the good looking people were the ones that were in the bands. The other thing interesting about the Go-Go's is the cute girl with a short black hair wrote all the songs and when the checks came in her checks are four or five times as much as the ones for the other band members because she was getting the song royalties. That became so contentious that it's one of the reasons the band split up. But that's the law. If you write the songs you make more money because you get the royalties from the author rights.
