I once saw a man spend 45 minutes trying to pull out a plastic straw from a leatherback turtle's nostrils. There was blood everywhere and it was in the middle of the ocean, not in a vet clinic.
As stupid as a paper straw might seem to critics of the climate change movement, anything rapidly biodegradable like this is a god send to actual environmentalists.
