They have finally realized that all not yet vaxxed will never get vaxxed. Now that the cycle of social pressure/coercion has completed, the restrictions are no longer necessary.

Why not lift it immediately? What logistics need to be "put in place" that require a week preparations?

Sounds weird that they put an "expiration date" on restrictions to freedom.
