It’s becoming impossible to maintain friendships with Covid autists

submitted by 3Whuurs to Covid1984 3.3 yearsJan 16, 2022 23:03:29 ago (+31/-1)     (Covid1984)

A friend of 25 years got all 3 doses of the vaccine, went from Covid is killing everyone, to the vaccine saves a million lives a day, to the vaccine is only good for easing symptoms but is still worth shutting the world down. Moving his goal post EVERY time the blue flickering light box told him to.
His gov opens his borders for the chosen vaccine race to travel, so he goes to cancun.
Here’s about 1 person in the hotel testing positive, and with all 3 doses is still so scared he quarantines his family in the hotel room for 4 days, ruining their whole vacation.
Then as a reward for his autism they catch Covid somehow anyway and now are forced to quarantine for another 5-7 days or some shit.

I’ve honestly agreed with the argument that we shouldn’t let this stuff ruin our friendships, but this shit is to far, and it’s no longer worth the risk of associating with this filth.

When your friends and family think you’re going to kill their children if you get near them, they’re no longer your tribe, and there’s nothing worth saving.
If anything, you’re just forfeiting the argument by associating with them.

Sorry to hear that. In my experience when somebody is so perfectly positioned for cognitive dissonance if you try to educate them on something like this, the chances of ordinarily good people freaking out if you prove them wrong, and becoming liars on the spot is very disheartening to see.
So now knowing that their religious beliefs are at stake if you disagree with them, I feel almost respo or their dignity for them because they can’t help themselves.
It really is exactly like dealing with autistic children you’re responsible for.
