I'm not British but an EU citizen living in the UK. Look, as much as I don't like the UK government being overly zealous, on this point - this guy is right. The UK is miles away from what the likes of Lithuania, France, Italy, Australia, USA and others have done.

There is no mask requirement. There is no vaccine requirement. People on the street and in businesses have stopped wearing masks, and going to work does not require you to get a vaccine - no matter the profession.

You can go get a haircut or your nails done, or go to the pub or a football match without a mask and without a QR code.

You can get a QR code if you want, there might be a business that requires it - but they're shooting themselves in the foot because there are alternatives - and people will go use the alternative. If you want to go in a hotel in Germany for example, you need a QR code. If you don't have one, you have no alternative - because ALL hotels require it.

In the UK, if you do manage to find that one hotel asking for QR codes, all you have to do is walk down the street to the next hotel and they won't be requiring it.

It really is - a recommendation - but not being enforced by the police, government or any other laws whatsoever. On this, the UK has been great.
