We had a company meeting about it today. I was AMAZED how many people objected and pushed back on it. A lot of people who I thought were either for vaccination or seemed neutral were among the most vociferous. We have a deadline of February 15, and after that, any employee who has either not provided proof or received an exemption will be placed on unpaid leave.
People are really fucking angry about this, and I can see easily 10% of the company choosing to leave over this. This is going to damage the company, and it will probably take a long time to recover, since it's getting harder and harder to fill vacancies.
As for myself, I can make a very strong case for a religious exemption. I've been reading all morning on how to make the case to justify it without having to justify my particular beliefs (i.e., cite scripture). I won't allow them to make me defend my deeply held religious belief, however, because it's not up to them to determine the "correctness" of my faith.
This is a damn shame. It used to be a really great company to work for. But now, like everything else in the country, it's become corrupted and bears no resemblance to anything I used to value.
Leak all of their IP for the lulz and collect as much personal information of the higher ups endorsing such policies and leak it on the internets. Again, for the lulz.
