For symptoms and thus a breakthrough case to occur the viral load has to be higher than if you were unvaccinated to combat the mRNA mechanism.
Interestingly I conjecture a natural immunity wouldn't suffer from this problem but I would like to see viral loads of a naturally immune person who got sick again and compare.
