For the first 50 years of my life God, as the bible depicts, I was a God fearing Christian, at 63 things have changed. To summarize my perspective in as few words as possible it's like this. If the biblical God is the omnipotent, loving, caring and merciful deity that we are supposed to believe in, based on blind faith and 2,000 years of emotional rhetoric, and who is incapable of fault and who is the epitome of perfection, then why did not have the foresight to see that what he was creating, as human beings, was far from perfect, prone to temptation, unable to learn from previous mistakes and unworthy of living up to the "image" that emulates God himself? Why create something to watch it suffer when you know full well it will suffer? And why would an all caring and all loving God curse those he created in "HIS IMAGE" with an evil entity like the jew? Why are non jews on a level no greater than an ox or a mule who are to have their necks broken after their time is up? Why is there a "chosen people" favored by God? And why were the apostles and desciples tax collectors and money grubbing bullshitters? I personally don't care what people need to get them through life but I don't want their hypocrisy to dictate an evil agenda that affects me. There's something more to God to that what's Man knows...and ain't through a fictional character called Jesus Christ. AMEN = AMEN RA THE EGYPTIAN SUN GOD.
When I see a man walk on water or descend from the clouds with a chorus of trumpeting angels (another devine mirage) then I'll be convinced that there is a devine entity worthy of postulation...God is not who the bible claims he is.
So circumcision is torturing children? Is slapping a newborn on the back to get the fluid out of it's lungs torture too? Your argument reeks of desperation to find fault in God.
