Actually I don't know if he is specifically Christian but he's Christian or Catholic or something.
I watch the guy and yeah he's smart and yeah he seems to know what's going on in the world.
But I don't believe in Christianity because the Bible has a lot of moral problems, contradicts itself, is proveably wrong, etc.
I gave up on Christianity years ago because that bullshit kept adding up and I eventually was able to let go of my fear of going to hell.
I got to tell you I have to stick with atheism. We're about to see some serious shit and it will be tempting to embrace religion. But I care about truth and I'd rather pass on the comforting embrace of religion.
A zionist cannot be a Christian. If your worship the antichrist mafia and their money, you're definitely not Christian.
Christianity is not a comfort. It's a hardship. You are despised and mocked. You are constantly attacked. Christians are the rebels of the day. It's the atheists and other seculars who the world loves.
Smart people choose to believe religion, for smart reasons. You see the structure it gives society. It's also a counter-argument against nihilism. When you're smart enough to see how fucked it all is when people let their passions run out of control, religion starts to make sense.
Yeah it makes sense from that perspective but I don't know if that's how they see it. Perhaps it's a balancing act between knowing what you said and pretending to believe.
When they talk about observing the laws of God, it is similar to how we observe the laws of physics. Hey! People who eat shellfish get sick and die, guess God doesn't want us to eat shellfish. Attributing bigger, more complicated stuff gets harder. Hey! We had a drought. Guess God is angry at us for some reason. This is where the weird stuff comes in, complicated rituals to prevent the wrath of God. Christianity has a good track record, Europe did well over the past 2000 years. People respect that and believe western culture depends on Chirstian values. The successful values of the major religions are probably fairly interchangable, moderation, charity, killing strangers who want to fuck your women and eat your food. It makes big healthy societies. It's what separates us from the animals. Now you see they want people to act like animals, no self control, no self respect.
A human can simultaneously hold contradictory beliefs as long as they provide benefits to them. They are each tools in a tool box, useful in their own way
Understand evolution and you'll find a lot of truth, but some of those truths are harsh. The survival of your genes matters but it's something you must fight for.
Sure, agnosticism is the better option. But at the same time, this is hardly an argument for any particular religion, let alone the shit sand people make up to control us.
yes, I meant agnostic. The two terms get mixed up sometimes so I just say atheist. I admit I have no idea wtf this is.
i need a reason to act on something as big as the nature of reality. without evidence any direction is as good as any other. well, unless you count ideas of fairness and goodness that seems to be built into many animals.
I've never watched him so I have no comment on whether he is smart or Christian.
However, from a neurological POV there is a region of the brain which varies in size person to person. Researchers have noted that when the region is larger the individual is more likely to be religious and believe in a god. This is independent of IQ and other traits of personality.

This may be the case for Alex Jones.
