This took place about 2006. i used to refinish antique wood floors during the housing market boom. we were booked solid for almost 10 years.

Im doing the floor in a rental property. I always started a new job on Monday. The wood part of the house was around 700 sq ft.

Normally i would spend 3 days sanding and a couple days coating the floor. The old fart renting the place screwed up and told the new tenant that the place would be ready on Monday.

I dont know what his problem was but thats not gonna happen. So Monday afternoon this black family pulls up with a U-Haul thinking the house was ready to move in.

I tell the guy theres no way its gonna be done by Tuesday and that I'm not responsible for what the landlord told him. That I had just gotten there today and that I'd get it done as fast as I could.

This is where the story gets niggerish. I bust my ass and get it done on Tuesday evening and get a coat of finish on the floor.

The black renter comes by and wants to know when he can move in? I tell him to run the A/C overnight and that I'd come back and get 2 coats on Wednesday.

Run the air overnight again and if they were gentle on the floor (put down paper) they could start moving in Thursday. The whole time he's complaining about having to pay for a hotel. I tell him to talk to his landlord.

Like I said we were booked and for whatever reason the old fart landlord lied to the guy.

So I come back Wednesday morning and the floor still isnt dry! The cheap ass nigger wouldnt turn on the A/C! Florida summers have 80-90% humidity. When it thunderstorms you feel like youre drowning.

Of course the nigger shows up and is pissin himself bcaause i cant coat the floor. I tell him. "hey man. its gonna cost $2-3 to run this air overnight. How much is that hotel costing you?

I swear to God the guy looked at me like I was shooting light rays out of my mouth. I almost forgot the best part! When i'm explaining that the floor is "tacky" I mean its sticky as hell and not dry.

He's thinking that I mean "in poor taste" and getting all wound up! Dumb motherfucker.
