You're not wrong. I think the appeal of buying from people I like (instead of just not buying from people I don't like) is the other side of it. It's a chance to support our own. It won't stop them from printing their own money, but maybe if that money becomes disconnected from people's purchases enough then it won't matter as much. That's already happening in some ways, and Jews suffering from overjewing their own jewed financial system would be fun to watch.
