Missus already had the shopping list on the table for me when I got out of bed. Rain threatened so I decided to walk into town (3kms) rather than cycle. The sea was calm, sun glistened off the water, boats at anchor. My town is mostly picture-perfect. Only aggro was not from an abo (the usual source of trouble) or a drunk tourist at the pub but a tall white woman who insisted on walking on the right side of the footpath instead of the left and it developed into a battle of wills. I blinked first and got out of her way. If it was that important to her...Got a bit hot walking back. Stopped by a nearby plot of land where a bloke's putting in a small market garden. He's got a small ride-on digging machine and he loves using it - like a toy for him and it makes a bit of noise. He's new to the neighbourhood and an interesting addition. Not too many back-to-nature types in my town. Mostly battlers and retirees.Talking about this bloke. He makes a point of wearing no shoes! On a construction site (he's building a shed and garden)! I mean, that's daft! Even though he seems a greenie there's an empty chip packet out the front of his place still. I'm not saying he dropped it but he could pick it up. I was going to but it's half full of soggy chips - yuk! So I got back home. Missus made me a pot of coffee not just as a reward for doing the shopping but she makes a better brew than I. Turned on the PC hoping for some world shattering news (life on Mars) but...nothing. Flicked to Voat and saw some nasty anti-Oz comments from those c..ts @thebearfromstartrack and @thelma.Took it in my stride. Yankee boys get hot 'n' bothered over anything. Weather took a turn for the worse. Winter's just two weeks away.Had my usual meal of beans and carrots.
