You literally already know this based on download frequency on your site. This raises the biggest red flag, because they’re harvesting unique hardware profiles from this.
I use older programs all the time, older versions of winamp were better and more stable, same for zip unpackers, torrent programs, even VLC has telemetry in the new versions. It's amazing how a program like uTorrent can go from 24mb to 150mb while adding absolutely no new features whatsoever, other than a new ad banner bar and built in media store of course. Lol.
