I often consider how young me, raised in one of the most liberal areas of America, could never have imagined what he would one day become.
I totally bought in to all of the brotherhood of man shit. We're all the same. I was quickly disavowed of that notion when suddenly, seemingly overnight, half of the town was populated by wetbacks.
They weren't like other boys. When you fought one of your own, it was between you and him. Work it out and, more often than not, walk away friends, or at least with a newly formed mutual respect.
With them it was different. Fight one bean and you fought the whole burrito.
