"This week included a not-so-surprise visit by the Chosen Lord of the Universe Benjamin Netanyahu, ruler of a pathetic little country called Israel, which is growing bigger as, with American support, it absorbs all of its neighbors one at a time. Netanyahu was in town to give Trump his marching orders for the next month or so, and it was no surprise that both men agreed that the two million or so hapless Palestinians still hanging around Gaza have to go and the sooner the better. Starving them and shooting and bombing them is not getting the job done quickly enough, so they will have to be convinced to go somewhere else, which sounds a lot better and easier than it actually is. An upbeat Trump nevertheless observed that they could find a nice quiet place somewhere in the world where they would be less likely to get killed. Meanwhile that lovely bit of prime real estate along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea can be developed under US protection without any Palestinians allowed. Has something like this just happened, again?

The home of the governor of Pennsylvania – who is Jewish – has been torched by a Communist. Of course, these Communists call themselves by other names nowadays – such as “progressives” and “Democrats” and even “anti-fascists” – in order to get people to forget (or not understand) that they are Communists. The ideology hasn’t changed. Just the branding.

Anyhow, a Communist named Cody Balmer has reportedly been arrested for torching Josh Shapiro’s home. Shapiro being the Jewish governor of the state of Pennsylvania who was not chosen by Kamala Harris to be her running mate because so many Communists who “mask” as Democrats are not supporters (anymore) of the state of Israel, which most of them used to be – just as most of them used to support Elon Musk and free speech. To the extent it benefitted them.

Well, one of them just did something very . . . Anti-Semitic. That is how it is likely to be framed and then used to justify suspending the civil liberties of people who do not support the state of Israel, which is already being framed as “anti-Semitic.” The beauty of this tactic is that it’s true – in the sense that the Communist who torched Shapiro’s residence probably did it because he opposes what is being done by the Jewish state and supported by politicians such as Shapiro, who are Jewish. This makes it snap to conflate being opposed to the actions of the state of Israel with being opposed to people who happen to be Jewish. Yes, of course, there is often overlap. But it does not mean that all Jews support what the state of Israel does anymore than it means people who aren’t Jewish who oppose what the state of Israel does hate people who are Jewish, just because they’re Jewish.

But that is not how it’s going to work.

The fire will fan the flames of what will be styled opposition to “anti-Semitism” – pushed by the right – and that will come to mean the harassment and perhaps even prosecution of people who oppose the actions of the state of Israel.

Trump has been saying he intends to do just that. There are already laws on the books in many states doing just that – in that a person who says anything that is deemed “anti-Semitic” by the arbiters of what constitutes “anti-Semitism” – who just happen to be fierce defenders of the state of Israel and whatever it does – can be denied the opportunity to bid for state business and that is likely just for openers.

In Germany, it is already a crime to give voice to “anti-Semitic” utterances. It is becoming a crime here – in that it is being punished by kicking “anti-Semitic” non-citizens out of the country. Do you suppose this will be limited to non-citizens? Do you think the weevils deep within the federal leviathan who are “monitoring” the social media posts of non-citizens are not monitoring the social media posts of citizens, too?

Perhaps it is a good time to revisit the words of Martin Niemoller, with a few modifications:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the “anti-Semites” and I did not speak out -because I was not a Jew-hater.

Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me."

Wall Street (1987) Vs Wall Street:2 (2010) My thoughts.

Long story short.

Oliver Stone is a good director. The movie is not boring. All actors are charismatic. But the plot is simplistic. It's about trying to save just one company from bankruptcy. It happens every day in Wall Street. Interesting only for the completely clueless about the real Wall Street corruption.

The second movie has no charismatic actors, making it boring to watch. But the plot is more elaborate, showing how Wall Street completely controls society, also people dying easily, like it's nothing exceptional. Also Jewish control.

Artistically, the first one is superior, but for learning the real scope of control Wall Street has over people and society, the second one is better. I watched both and enjoyed both, but for different reasons.
