The new Mortal Kombat movie trailer was missing the character of Johnny Cage in favor of bringing in a new character named Cole to serve as the audience surrogate.



While they had the excuse that the story focused on the rivalry between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, that wasn't enough. They had to let the following slip:



"Cole Young's creation as a new lead hero also points to the reboot’s emphasis on actors and characters of Asian descent. The modern optics of a Caucasian man playing the lead role in a story about martial arts aren’t great, and Cage’s absence is an excellent opportunity to center Cole’s character and other non-Caucasian fighters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Jax, Raiden, and Liu Kang."



Once again, subverters don't even understand the source material they're subverting. Johnny Cage isn't the main character of Mortal Kombat; Liu Kang is. Is this going to be the central theme of the project bluebeam scare?

They need a massive distraction and of course they will use fear as always to get the morons on board.

Did they have to change the script from the fake alien invasion because it's too well known now?

The orbit of the moon sure seems to indicate that this is indeed an object that has been placed in orbit around our planet. The rate of revolution to orbit being 1:1 also seems to show that it is very unbalanced with more weight on the back side than the front by about 15-20% of the moons mass.

Of course I don't believe they have the ability to change the moons orbit so anything they do would need to be an illusion and nothing else.

Thoughts guys?

I always thought the movie was good for the genre it was.

Lone cop, doesn't follow the rules but gets results and punches some guy in the face at the end that we all wanted to punch in the face at the beginning.
